At the end of the month, residents of Lindenhurst will gather together and get their walking boots on to raise money for a community organization.
The Walk for Hope has been put together by the Lindenhurst Community Cares Coalition, also known as ‘Lindy Cares’. The organization is dedicated to raising awareness of underage drinking and substance abuse. Those who participate in the event are encouraged to walk in remembrance of a lost loved one, in support of a loved one in recovery, or to raise awareness of the issues that Lindy Cares seeks to combat.
The event is open to people of all ages, with a $5 donation requested for each participant. Lindy Cares could use a local Print company to create the registration Forms people can use to sign up. While people can Print the Forms online, there is no advanced registration. Instead, anyone who wants to walk is invited to bring their Forms and their $5 donation in cash to the event. Those who want to pay online can do so through PayPal and take their receipt to the registration tables at the walk, along with their Forms.
People are able to participate in the Walk for Hope as individuals or in teams. The walk kicks off at 10:00 am on May 31, at the Village Square Gazebo. Refreshments are being donated by Joe's Gourmet Meats.Get a Free Quote for Print Get a Free Quote for Forms
