The Beat Lives On Virtual 5K will be taking place in Lindenhurst in honor of CJ Neumann, a fellow Lindenhurst resident. The top finishers will receive a cap and t-shirt with the exclusive The Beats Live On Logo Design.
The Beat Lives On is a non-profit organization and all proceeds raised in this event will be going towards the Long Island Facilities Raising Awareness and Support in the Fight Against Drug Addiction. CJ Neumann, a Lindenhurst music producer, lost his battle against drug addiction. This event is hoping to raise awareness and funds to continue outpatient support for those on their path of recovery from drug addiction.
The event features both running and walking components — all activities will be done virtually. For early registration, register before September 25. Early participants can start entering times from September 26 until October 4.
Late registration is after September 25, and late entrants must wait 24 hours before posting a run. Bibs will be mailed out to all runners beginning on September 21. Runners should expect to receive the bibs within 3–5 business days. The last day to register for a run is October 4. All tickets come with a raffle ticket and a neck gaiter.
There is a $25 registration fee for all runners. Additional donations may also be made on the site. If there are any additional questions, Joe Fritsch may be contacted at 631–594–5185 or info@thebeatsliveon.org.
