A number of events are scheduled to take place at the Lindenhurst Memorial Library in the coming months for people of all ages, from babies up through adults.
Libraries can use newsletter printing to get the word out about planned events and to provide patrons with information on how to register.
Among the events designed for the earliest of learners is Babies Boogie!, on Feb. 23 at 10am. Registration for the class starts on Feb. 1. The program will feature props and songs to engage babies from the age of 6 to 23 months. Parents are encouraged to participate too.
Pre-schoolers, between the ages of two and five, can learn more about arctic animals during Arctic Artists, on Jan. 27, starting at 10am. During the event, the young ones will create snowflakes, paper penguins, and cotton ball polar bears. Registration begins on Jan. 15.
On Feb. 4 at 10 am, children between the ages of 1 and 3-years-old will be able to build the playground of their imagination, using large foam blocks. A similar program is offered for 4 to 6-year-olds at 11am and for 7 to 12-year-olds starting at noon. Registration for all three programs begins on Jan. 15.
Programs for adults include defensive driving courses on Jan. 21, Feb. 25 and March 11, as well as game days on Mondays throughout the winter.
