In June, the Lindenhurst Memorial Library in conjunction with the Lindenhurst Rotary Club will host the Pups on Parade event to gather supplies for a charity benefiting homeless animals.
The Lindenhurst Memorial Library serves the community by providing valuable resources and services supporting personal and professional development in various interconnected ways. The Lindenhurst Rotary Club is part of an international volunteer organization that works on global humanitarian projects. Both organizations frequently host community charity events such as the Pups on Parade event in June.
The event will take place at the Lindenhurst Town Square and Gazebo and will feature a pup parade for pups to strut around and show off their best tricks. Attendees will also have the chance to make homemade dog treats, and children’s author Emma Dodd will read from her book ‘Dog’s Colorful Day’. Attendees are asked to bring a bag of dog food or pet toy to donate to Posh Pets Rescue, a non-profit animal rescue.
