Several student athletes from Lindenhurst Union Free School District have made their college decision. Each of the students have decided to play their sports at the college level and have found the ideal schools to attend.
In the case of the students from Lindenhurst, two of the school's best football players will continue to play ball during college. Nick Anzalone will attend Bryant University, while Jeremy Ruckert has decided to play for Ohio State University.
Ruckert also earned the honor of the being the ‘Gatorade Player of the Year’. For that, Anthony Amesti, the school's director of health, physical education and athletics, presented him with a trophy.
Students who play other sports have also made their college choices. Thomas Renick, a volleyball player, will continue to play at St. Joseph's College in New York. Another volleyball player, Jason Koehler, will go on to play at Springfield College in Massachusetts.
Erika Breitfeller, a member of the varsity girls' soccer team, will go on to Fairfield University. Lily Poplawski, another soccer player, will attend Adelphi University on Long Island. Sean Kennedy, a member of the boys' varsity soccer team, plans on attending Lynchburg University.
School districts that are proud of their student athletes can use printing services to let those in the district know of the students' decisions for the future.
