Residents of Lindenhurst and the surrounding area will soon have a chance to spring clean their vehicles, while supporting a good cause.
The Lindenhurst Interact Club is going to host its yearly car wash fundraisers at Lindenhurst Middle School. The teenage club members are charging $5 for cars and $10 for SUVs and trucks. Proceeds from the car wash are going to be donated to the Haiti Water Project.
To advertise the event, the club, which is made up of teenagers between the ages of 12 and 18, may consider using Posters and flyer printing. These could contain information about the Haiti Water Project and more details on why the club picked that charity.
About 60% of the population in Haiti lives without access to clean water. The Haiti Water Project helps to change that. Members of the Interact Club picked the charity for their fundraiser because providing access to safe water is one of the biggest issues Haiti faces.
The Interact Club operates under the supervision of Rotary International, an organization dedicated to volunteer work and community service. Along with the annual fundraiser, teens in the club participate in a variety of service-oriented events each year.
The car wash will start at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 21, and the teens will be out washing any cars or trucks that pull up until 2:00 pm.
