Lindenhurst artists to gain exposure in new year

The Babylon Citizens Council on the Arts (BACCA) is now taking applications from local artists to take part in their Rotating Artists Program.

The BACCA Arts Center in Lindenhurst, New York has a monthly program where different artists have the opportunity of being featured at businesses around the city. Artists that apply to have their art selected for the Rotating Artists Program are given a chance to promote their work in public venues for the duration of the month, allowing their creativity to be shown to audiences who would not usually get the chance to see their pieces.

There are currently a handful of artists who have been featured for the month of December with talents ranging from photography, acrylic painting, and charcoal drawings. All styles of art are welcome to apply to be featured as part of the Rotating Artists Program, whether it be traditional Forms of painting or more new kinds of art like graphic design.

Those who wish to apply for their work to be featured in January can submit two pictures of the pieces intended to be shown to the BACCA office, however once offered the photos will remain on file with the BACCA and will not be returned. If an artist is picked to participate in the program, then their work will be hung on the first of the month after being accepted.
