Just a short journey from Lindenhurst, the Jo3 Olivo Foundation will hold the 3rd Annual Baseball Tournament next month to raise money for youth athletes.
The Jo3 Olivo Foundation was founded in honor and remembrance of Joseph Dominick Olivo "Coach Joe,” who passed away in 2021. Coach Joe was passionate about baseball and the young players that he coached. His family created the foundation to help children in need with access to youth sports and resources related to such activities. Through the organization’s efforts, young athletes have received tuition aid, equipment, travel cost help, among other Forms of assistance.
During the fun yet competitive tournament, all kids will be placed on one of four teams and will play a three-game minimum. The tournament is open to all kids of classes from 2025 to 2028. All participants will also receive a special Jo3 jersey to wear during the event. A raffle will also be held for participants and guests to win fun prizes and Promotional Products from sponsors.
The baseball tournament will take place on Saturday, August 26 from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm. It will be held at Ellsworth W. Allen Park, which is located at 45 Motor Avenue, Farmingdale, just six miles from Lindenhurst. General admission is $100. If the weather is unsuitable it will take place the following day, August 27.
