Locals should note that the annual Amityville July 3rd Celebration will take place in Amityville next week, with neighboring villages such as Lindenhurst invited to attend.
The July 3rd Celebration is a summer tradition where the heart of the village is shut down to host a summer night block party extravaganza. It is considered the precursor to the July 4th fireworks display the following day.
As its main attraction, the event will feature a so-called “giant artisan and vendor bazaar” that will include a multitude of different local vendors selling their wares. There will also be a Foodie Fest section where food trucks belonging to Long Island’s traveling food show will be stationed.
Other activities include a kids’ funzone that will offer bounce houses, inflatable slides and obstacle courses, a rock wall, and a mechanical bull. Live musical performances will be on the mobile stage, and all children with a Funzone bracelet will receive free ice cream.
Community festivals like this are often decorated with themed Banners, which organizers can get designed and printed at local Print shops offering banner printing services.
The July 3rd celebration will be held from 5:00 pm to 10:30 pm next Thursday. It will take place at Park Avenue, Amityville, which is just three miles from Lindenhurst. There is no admission fee to attend.
