This June, the Lindenhurst Community Cares Coalition will host the 4th Annual True Colors Run to help youth make healthy choices.
The Lindenhurst Community Cares Coalition, or Lindy Cares, is a youth-led, adult-guided community organization that works to reduce the use of unhealthy substances in the youth population. The 5K happening in June is just one of the many efforts that the organization puts forward to bring together the community in health and wellness.
True to its name, the True Colors Run will be an event in which the participants run or walk along a course while being showered with colorful powder. The event is open to individuals of all ages and physical abilities. There will be group discounts for those wishing to run with five or more people. Groups of 5 people will get $10 off race registration, and groups of 10 people will get one free registration.
Run events such as this will often have trails or courses decorated with colorful Posters, along with inspirational phrases to lend support to participants. Such Posters can be professionally printed at any local business offering poster printing services.
The color run is scheduled for Sunday, June 25 from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. It will take place at Lindenhurst Village Park, which can be found at 336 N Alleghany Avenue. Registration is $25.
