The Lindenhurst Memorial Library is hosting a number of events for children, teens, and adults through December 30.
On December 17 at 1:30 pm, it will screen ‘Glen Campbell: I'll Be Me’, a documentary about the singer as he begins his final tour after being diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. This Sunday, December 20 at 1:30 pm, the library will screen ‘Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation’, the latest film in the Mission Impossible franchise. The library will wrap up the month with a screening of a to-be-announced holiday film at 11:00 am on December 30.
Other events at the library this month include several chess workshops for children and teens. The workshops are designed for students in grades three through eight who already have some knowledge of the game. Several other workshops will be held for other games, such as Scrabble on the 18th and bridge and mahjong on the 29th.
The library is also sponsoring a trip into the Big Apple on December 27. People are invited to arrive at the Lindenhurst Long Island Railroad Station at 9:00 am on the day, to purchase a round trip ticket to and from the city from a library staff member. Tickets are $9.25 in total and allow people to return home whenever they wish.
The library could use flyer printing to promote the events it has scheduled.
