The Hollywood Marketplace in Amityville invites the surrounding area, including Lindenhurst, to the Hollywood Health and Fitness Fair next month.
Hosted by the Hollywood Full Gospel Baptist Cathedral, the Hollywood Marketplace is a craft and vendor marketplace that also hosts special events such as the Hollywood Health and Fitness Fair. The fair will raise awareness of public health issues in the surrounding communities.
The event will encourage vulnerable members of the community to attend in order to receive free doctor check-ups and access to free healthcare information and resources. Attendees will also be able to interact with personal trainer Chad Williams. A National Physique Committee (NPC) champion, Williams will lead a special fitness class during the event. Community fairs may get advertised through methods such as flyer distribution in high-traffic areas such as schools, libraries, and community parks. Organizers of such events may decide to seek help from local Print shops specializing in flyer printing to achieve this.
The fair is slated to take place on Saturday, August 20, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. The hosting venue is located on 3504 Great Neck Road, Amityville, only three miles from Lindenhurst.
