Brightly colored gym coming to Lindenhurst

After sitting vacant for five years, the former Sears Hardware store in Lindenhurst is getting a new lease of life, when Blink Fitness opens its doors next year.

The new gym will be the ninth Blink Fitness location on Long Island and one of around 60 locations in the tristate (New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania) area.

The gym made the official announcement on October 10, but its website had been hinting that it would open in Lindenhurst in the future for a while before that.

Blink has yet to announce prices for the Lindenhurst location, but the costs at nearby Blink locations are $20 per month for a basic membership, plus a $49 yearly maintenance fee. According to the gym, the maintenance fee goes back into each gym and is used to keep the facilities clean and the equipment up-to-date and functional.

Blink fitness centers are designed to provide a high-quality exercise and workout option in a setting that is welcoming. The gyms are known for their bright colors, which were chosen to help people feel happier when working out.

There is no official opening date scheduled for the Lindenhurst Blink yet, but it should be in early 2018. Along with the Lindenhurst gym, the owners of Blink plan on opening locations in Westchester, other areas of Long Island, and New Jersey.

Gym franchises often use banner printing to keep people up-to-date on the their new locations and let people know when to sign up for memberships.
