Aaron Lewis, a Vermon native, was one of the founding members of Staind, the alternative metal outfit for which he played rhythm guitar and sang lead vocals. During his stint with Staind, the group dropped seven studio albums. In 2010, he not only left the metal band but switched his focus to country music, and in 2011, released the EP “Town Line,” his debut. He dropped “The Road,” his full-length solo debut, in 2012. Lewis’s switch from metal to country is not without precedent; he occasionally tours with Kid Rock, who made the same change.
The 2001 album “Break the Cycle” was Staind’s most successful album, earning a 5X Platinum rating from the RIAA in the U.S. The lead track from the album, “It’s Been Awhile,” climbed to the Top Five on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. Lewis was named to the No. 49 spot on Hit Parader’s “Top 100 Heavy Metal Vocalists” list in 2006. He released his latest country album, “The Hill,” in 2024. A review says:
“Great show! Couldn’t have had a better time! His vocal range is still going strong! From country to AIC, to Staind . . .”
Aaron Lewis will be at the Pearl Concert Theater at the Palms Casino Resort on January 26. Events like this are traditionally publicized with Posters, which organizers can obtain at Print shops.
