Turnersville gardeners may spend the winter dreaming about the season to come, but it can also be an opportunity for them to work on their indoor horticultural skills by taking part in a learning opportunity.
The Camden County Certified Gardeners program provides a way for those with a green thumb to share their knowledge with the public, and the group will be hosting a basic terrarium make-and-take session in just a few days’ time. It will take one and a half hours to complete, and everyone will go home with a simple garden under glass.
The facilitator will teach how to use some basic materials to prepare a terrarium in a mason jar, and kids aged seven and up are welcome to attend along with a parent or guardian. They can use their new knowledge to craft other terrariums to give as gifts or keep for themselves.
A workshop can teach plant fans how they can extend their gardening season. Care sheets and other learning materials can be provided by a brochure printing company to make the session more informative.
This terrarium make-and-take will run from 10:00 am until 11:30 am next Saturday, December 2. The venue is located at 508 Lakeland Road in Gloucester Township. The price to take part starts at $7.18 for children and $23.18 for adults.
