Running event supports families near Turnersville

The inaugural Mock 5K is set to take place near Turnersville this September, bringing the community together to raise funds for the Mock Family Foundation.

The event is designed for runners and walkers alike. People can move through the course at whatever pace feels comfortable, while friends and relatives gather along the route to cheer them on. Children who need assistance should participate with a parent or guardian, and younger runners ages three to ten can join the Mini Mock Dash.

Registration covers a race T shirt and finisher medal, along with entry to the Mini Mock Dash and Fun Zone. Awards and prizes will round out the morning. Those who prefer not to run can still support the foundation by volunteering, sponsoring, donating, or simply showing up as spectators.

Funds raised will offer immediate financial help to families during the first six months after the loss of a spouse or partner. The foundation was created in honor of Geoffrey Mock, whose devotion to family and community continues to guide its mission. The event aims to ease practical burdens for grieving parents during an especially challenging time.

Community events often rely on graphic design to produce clear promotional materials that outline registration details, activities, and ways for residents to get involved.

The Mock 5K begins at 9 am on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Gloucester Township Community Park in New Jersey, just outside Turnersville.
