Turnersville enjoys afternoon of bingo fun

An organization that works throughout southern New Jersey to address poverty and food insecurity is offering veterans a special salute, and everyone can join in the fun.

People for the Poor will be putting the “fun” in fundraising when it welcomes the public for its Turnersville area Thank You Veterans Designer Bag Bingo afternoon. All proceeds raised through admission and draw tickets, as well as auction bids, will remain in South Jersey, supporting shelters, soup kitchens and other programs addressing food insecurity.

The fun will be taking place at John Paul II School at 55 Warwick Road in Stratford. Admission is $35 each, and to bring even more excitement, an event split draw and basket auction are in both the works. Tea, coffee and light refreshments will be served to the crowd.

Fundraisers may require specialized printing services, and a local professional will have the equipment, knowledge, and skills to help. It may also be able to provide in-house graphic design work to embellish the occasion.

People for the Poor is hoping its Designer Bag Bingo afternoon is a huge success when it takes place on Sunday, November 9. The doors will open to ticketholders at 12:00 noon and the games will start at 1:00 pm. Tickets remain available at the time of writing and can be ordered by phone or through the organization's website.
