Falling leaves are a sure sign of autumn’s arrival, and Turnersville residents and others who call the Township of Washington home have been asked to note the pickup schedule for the area.
According to law, leaves from residential yards in the state need to be composted, and the Township has announced that it will be accepting these for pickup. They will need to be free of branches and other debris, and each zone will have its own specific dates when this service will be on offer.
Those who plan to take advantage of this are asked to place the leaves in brown biodegradable Bags or barrels, and they have also been reminded that they should not just rake the foliage for pick up out into the street. Plastic bags will not be accepted, and a further request has been made that households ensure that they do not block fire hydrants. The leaf machine will make its collections on the dates stated on the Washington Township website, which also includes details about where they can be dropped off if needed.
Sending out printed Copies of its waste collection schedule can be one way for a community to keep its residents informed. A Print company will be able to help with this by offering a wide selection of options when it comes to brochure printing.
Fall leaf pickup will begin in Washington Township on November 2. The final date to place the leaves curbside will be December 8.
