A Turnersville area community service organization that believes no one should be left behind has planned a festive themed fundraiser, and it is hoping that the area will be generous in their support for its work.
The Unforgotten Haven oversees a variety of feeding programs, assistance to the homeless and other grassroots level supports, and its Grinch-themed afternoon will be taking place at its building in Blackwood. To help prevent the spread of Covid, only one family will be permitted to enter at a time. The suggested donation is $5.
Families who participate will be able to take photos, so have been advised to have their phone or camera at the ready. The site will be brightly lit and filled with holiday decor. As this part of the evening draws to a close, the community will be gearing up for its 32nd annual Christmas Parade, which is a production of the Blackwood Fire Department.
After the parade has gone by, the public will be invited to head to the firehouse so they can spend some time with Santa and enjoy some refreshments. Banners are often used during special holiday-themed events, and these may be sourced from a banner printing company in the local area.
This afternoon and evening of frosty but festive fun is scheduled for this Saturday, December 4, starting at 3:00 pm. The offices of The Forgotten Haven can be found at 100 South Black Horse Pike in Blackwood.
