There can be something special about the glow of candlelight and a Turnersville area workshop will teach how to make them by hand.

For many years, people would make their own candles at home using natural ingredients, and a class that will be offered at Mystic Ginger will teach the practice to a 21st century audience. It will be offered hands on, and everyone will be able to take their finished project with them at the end of the session.

The registration fee includes all the materials and instruction needed, and the participants will even be able to create their own custom scent blend. There will be crystals and other decorative additions to use, and herbs can be blended in as well. The facilitator will teach how to mix and pour the candles, and the instructor for the activity will be Mermaid Metal’s Steph Schultz. Tickets are $52.03, and at the time this was written, there were still tickets available.
