The holiday season is often a time for celebration, and Turnersville residents are welcome to be among the crowd that's on hand to enjoy a special evening which is being planned for their area.
Many communities all over the country will be creating festive holiday displays that include lots of colorful lights, and Washington Borough will be no exception. The whole community is welcome to come out and meet their neighbors while they enjoy the activities that have been planned for the occasion.
Singers and musicians will be strolling through the crowd, helping to build the festive atmosphere. There will also be a tree lighting, and Santa, who will be the guest of honor for the evening, will be arriving in style, riding atop a firetruck. The kids can have their photos taken with him, and they can also visit one of the crafting stations to make a free ornament or other craft.
An activity like this can be a great opportunity for local businesses to show their community spirit. A contest has been planned that will recognize the downtown establishment that has the best window display, and a printer’s graphic design team can prepare custom certificates to present to those that participate.
Washington Borough will be hosting its Hometown Holiday festivities on December 6th. They will be offered to the public at 44 E. Washington Avenue.
