Next week, a Turnersville area workshop can help those who are interested in genealogy to get their feet on the road to discovering their roots.
The team at the West Deptford Free Public Library has organized a Q&A session that will introduce a variety of subjects related to genealogy, and it may be of interest to all levels of experience. Cataloger and Librarian James Gross will serve as the facilitator for the session, and the seating will be socially distanced.
During the class, the group will discuss an assortment of tools that may be useful to anyone getting started with discovering the roots of their family. They will explore websites and other online resources, and tips will be shared for finding free assistance online. For planning purposes, advance registration is required and this can be completed by calling the library at 856-845-5593.
With the advent of home DNA testing, it has become easier than ever for people to learn about their genealogical past. Promotional Pens, Notebooks, and other materials for a workshop will all be available at a local printing services provider.
The West Deptford Free Public Library will be offering locals an opportunity to be a part of this free class next Wednesday, October 26. Everyone who Signs up is asked to be on site by no later than 4:00 pm.
