A gala evening that recognizes and honors those who have escaped domestic violence and the community leaders who supported their efforts will be held near Turnersville, and the community is welcome to attend the affair.
The evening will open with an assortment of appetizers, as well as a cash bar for the guests to enjoy while they mingle with the other attendees. After this, the crowd will be invited to take their seats for dinner and the awards ceremony, which will be followed by more opportunities to socialize and dance the night away.
The evening will also offer those who come out an opportunity to bid on a wide assortment of items in the silent auction, and there will also be an even split draw. The suggested attire for the event is semiformal, and anyone who would like to take a stand against relationship violence is welcome. A local printer will be able to use graphic design to create customized awards for presentation during an event like this.
October 28 has been selected as the date for the second annual Ujima Awards Ball, and it will be held in The Palace Catering, which is located 109 North Black Horse Pike in Blackwood.
