Flu season is not far away, and thanks to a local initiative, Turnersville residents will be able to get their shot free of charge.
The Camden County Department of Health and Human Services has made a recommendation that everyone get their flu shot this year. It will be hosting several clinics, and these will be open to those who are nine years of age and older. Anyone who is younger is asked to speak to their primary care physician to arrange for their child’s immunization.
The organizers of this activity pointed out that it is especially important for children, seniors, and other vulnerable individuals to get their flu vaccine, and if they pre-register, they will be able to minimize contact. The clinic will be set up as a drive-through facility, and a special lane will be set up for those who signed up ahead of time.
