The pleasant weather of early June can often be tailor made for golf fundraisers, and the Turnersville area has one of these activities on its agenda.
Glassboro’s Parks and Recreation department will be providing local golfers with an opportunity to hit the links along with their fellow enthusiasts. Pitman Golf Course in Sewell will be the venue for the outing, and both single golfer and foursome registrations are available.
The tournament, which is now in its 35th year, will open with registration and a lunch so the players can mix and mingle before they head to the course. There will be a variety of on-the-green contests, including men’s and women’s closest to the pin. Once everyone has played thorough, it will be time for a buffet dinner.
As with many not-for-profit golf tournaments, the organizers of the outing have organized a set of sponsorship options for any companies that would like to get involved. These start at the $125 Hole Sponsors, and go up to the $1,250 Cart Sponsor. Attendees at such an event may wish to bring Business Cards so that they can easily exchange contact details, with golf often being synonymous with networking.
This day of fun in the sun for Turnersville area golfers will tee off on Monday, June 9. Anyone wishing to register may do so through its web listing.
