Turnersville area families treated to fall fun

The harvest season is on the horizon for Turnersville, and an area agricultural operation will be opening its gates to the public for some fun on the farm.

Duffield’s Farm at 280 Chapel Heights Road in Sewell will have “bushels of fun” on offer this fall, and one of the activities on the agenda will see the individuals and families in attendance make their own mini-harvest. The produce at the u-picks will depend on what is in season.

The activities in the works include hayrides to the venue’s pumpkin patch or orchard, and everyone can choose their own pumpkins or pick some apples to take home. Depending on the date, peas may also be on offer for picking, and the kids can visit the bounce houses, pony rides, a corn maze, and rides on the BarnYard Express. Food will be available for purchase too.

Agriculturally themed activities can be a fun way for the public to learn about where the food on their table comes from, while also taking in some fresh air and sunshine. A banner printing company can work closely with organizers to ensure they have the signage and other oversize items they require.

The team at Duffields Farm will be hosting its harvest schedule of activities from August through October. More details about what to expect can be found on the venue’s website.
