An OB/GYN with offices in Turnersville will now be offering an additional option for women who are having a baby.
Advocare Premier has partnered with ‘Jodi the Doula’ to make the services of her staff available to women who are interested in using the having a doula (support person) present during their pregnancy, birth and afterwards.
Advocare will now provide a ‘VIP Doula Package’ that includes the services of doulas who have been certified by the Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association (CAPPA). They will also be provided with a variety of materials that it feels will help to make the experience as efficient as it can possibly be.
Those who choose this option will be given the chance to attend different educational sessions throughout their pregnancy, and will also receive educational materials selected for their particular situation. Items like these can be both designed and printed by a Print company.
According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, having a support person, such as a doula, on hand to be with the mother during her labor and the delivery of her baby can help to lower the number of caesarian sections that are performed, and improve outcomes for both the mother and baby.
