New function to building healthy families at the Y

As part of a YMCA initiative this weekend, families are being invited to join in as part of a national program to improve the health and wellbeing of families across the nation.

This YMCA Healthy Kids Day focuses on young people in an effort to ensure they reach their full potential during their lives. The Y may have used services like locally-based poster printing to share this information with parents in this community and around the area.

A brand new initiative, Healthy Kids Day, is a community event that will get the kids learning and participating, as well as creating healthier families. On this day, the children and their families will enjoy an assortment of activities and educational learning events, including moving to music, demonstrations, a family tug-of-war, a duck pond, a fish station, tasty treats from the healthy snack stand, crafts and creative arts, and an obstacle race course. This event is sponsored by the YMCA of Gloucester County.

Admission on the day is free to everyone. The YMCA Healthy Kids Day will be happening on Saturday, April 26, at the YMCA of Gloucester County, located at 235 East Red Bank Avenue in Woodbury, New Jersey, just a short hop from Turnersville.
