It has been reported that the new store might well be open before the fall. Poster printing in Turnersville could be used to draw attention to the retail outlet when the time comes. Project manager Donnie Pratt of Teel Construction Inc. has said:
“Aldi wants all the stores the same operations-wise. If they pull a store manager from another store, they'll walk in and know exactly what to do, where to do it and how to do it."
Demolition has already commenced on the site in question. This step was necessary because the location had been occupied by a former Bottom Dollar Store.
Mr. Pratt started out on the demolition activity with a workforce of ten people. However, that number will have to increase significantly when the installation of new equipment is carried out.
Officially, Aldi has confirmed the retail outlet will be functioning before the beginning of 2016. The store location of Broad Street is not so far away from Route 45 within West Deptford.
It has been announced by Bob Grammer, an Aldi official, that the entire staff from the West Deptford outlet will be redeployed to Broad Street. This means that 18 jobs will have been retained in New Jersey despite the shakeup.
