For those who choose to participate in the event, fees are $15 in advance and $20 if paid on the day. Additional donations are accepted and all proceeds go to support a fund maintained by the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s oncology department, which helps families caring for kids with cancer to pay for essentials, such as gas or utility bills.
Buonadonna said:
“Taylor always said she would want to raise money for that fund.
“That’s how we decided which fund to donate to.”
In previous years, T-Shirts designed using custom printing services were also available.
Speaking further, Buonadonna commented:
“I always say it’s for us, it’s not about the turnout, or the amount of money raised. If we can just have a day to remember Taylor in any way, that’s what will make it special.”
For those who are unable to participate in the walk/run themselves, donations can be made through the event’s website.
Registration begins at 8am at Washington Lake Park on June 15th. The run begins at 9am, and the walk begins shortly after that.Get a Free Quote for T-Shirts
