Inaugural arts festival to come to Red Bank

Red Bank will be holding its first Arts Festival later this month to celebrate literary, visual, and performing arts.

Featured at the festival will be a makers’ market of handmade goods, live music, and a juried art show with prizes for the winners in first, second, and third place.

Artists are being sought by the Red Bank RiverCenter to participate. The goal of this festival is to demonstrate the commitment of the borough to support literary, visual, and performing arts while providing a place for regional and local artists to showcase their work. Applications are being accepted using all types of mediums, including fine art, mixed media, sculpture, photography, and painting.

A space that measures 10 feet by 10 feet can be reserved by vendors and makers. Artists can also display their work for the juried art show.

Poster printing is one way to promote such unique and inaugural events throughout a community.

It is hoped that this Arts Festival will become a distinctive annual event that highlights the creativity and talent of the cultural landscape of the borough as well as bring the community together. Executive Director, Mairin Bennet, expressed her excitement about filling Monmouth Street with creativity color, music, and the energy of local artists.

The Arts Festival will take place from noon to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday June 27 on Monmouth Street.
