In addition, the designation of a High Performing District has also been awarded by the New Jersey State Board of Education.
The COE recognizes the excellent Annual Comprehensive Financial Report for the fiscal year ending June of last year. This is a benchmark of the ASBO and it marks the ninth year in a row that the district has earned the distinction.
The financial report was submitted to a rigorous review by a panel of financial experts in order to earn the Certificate of Excellence. The recognition validates financial transparency and supports the ongoing disclosure requirements and bond rating of the district.
Jim Rowan, executive director of the ASBO, said:
“Clear and accurate financial reporting is crucial for engaging school communities and building their trust.”
The Board of Education and Anthony Sciarrillo, School Business Administrator, were praised by Superintendent Dr. Jared Rumage for their commitment to transparency and detailed financial management.
The designation by the New Jersey State Board of Education is valid for three years and reflects the standard of results in the review of the New Jersey Quality Single Accountability Continuum. Flyer printing can be used to inform residents of such recognitions.
