Hamilton has already begun clearing its streets for a patriotic marathon taking place in May.
The competition is themed around Memorial Day, and it provides an opportunity for residents of all ages to appreciate the sacrifices made by American war veterans.
Known as the Great American Cookie 3-Mile and 6-Mile Race: The Run to Remember, this event has existed in one form or another for a number of years. The competition itself will be broken down into three events – a three-mile run, a six-mile run, and a 2K walk that allows participants to bring along their dogs.
All proceeds from this event will benefit the New Jersey Veterans Network. This is a non-profit organization that provides veterans with critical resources they may require after retiring from active military service. Racers will also receive a complimentary T-shirt, and post-competition treats provided by the Flower Power Bakery of Hamilton.
Local marathons will normally employ proven advertising tactics to ensure that the right demographic is targeted. Some approaches may include professional flyer printing, banner advertising, and similar onsite promotions on the day of the event.
The race is being held on Saturday, May 23. All events begin at 9:00 AM within Veteran's Park, located at 2206 Kuser Road. Ticket prices begin at $27.50 per person and will be based on availability.
