Local city celebrates its Native roots

There will be a powwow and Native American Heritage Celebration taking place in East Brunswick this summer, just down the road from Cranbury.

The event will be attracting individuals of various backgrounds. Alongside the entertainment, there will also be opportunities to buy items such as jewelry, craft items, and food.

Native Americans from different tribes will be in attendance. Those visiting will have the opportunity to meet those from the Mayan, Aztec, Samoan, Cherokee, and other tribes.

The event will be taking place outdoors, no matter the weather. The cost to attend will be $15 for teens and adults, $10 for kids between the ages of 6 and 12, and $10 for individuals 65 and older, as well as students who have an ID. Individuals can also purchase a family package for $45 for two adults and two children between the ages of 6 and 12. There will also be free parking and a contest. No alcohol, drugs, food, or other beverages are allowed into the event area.

Poster printing can be a great way for event organizers to provide helpful information to attendees at events such as this one.

The event will be taking place between June 17 and 18, running from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm each day at Middlesex County Fair Grounds located at 655 Cranbury Rd, East Brunswick.
