Duke Farms is set to continue hosting Forest Bathing events close to Cranbury this summer.
Experienced forest and nature therapy guide, Rich Collins, will be leading participants through a wooded area at Duke Farms. Rich has professional certification from the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy (ANFT) and hosts therapeutic forest and nature events throughout New Jersey.
This relaxing outdoor event series focuses on taking participants from Cranbury and other surrounding communities through a forest on a slow, one-mile walk through nature. Preceded by a guided opening meditation, participants will prepare to explore a forest while engaging all their senses. Prior to the walk, participants are advised to arrive 10 or 15 minutes early to check in at the Farm Barn Orientation Center in order to be prepared to walk to the woods with the group on time. Brochure printing is a popular method selected by many event hosts to give informative handouts to anyone who is joining or considering signing up for a community event.
The Forest Bathing program is intended for adults. Those who are interested in participating in the tours may preregister for one of the available event dates on Eventbrite.
Two Forest Bathing events are set to take place in Hillsborough Township on Friday, August 5, and on Saturday, August 13 between 9:30 am and 12:00 pm.
