A country food festival and cooking competition is to be held in East Windsor this weekend.
The event is the Pit Boss Rumble, where participants will have the opportunity to compete for prizes in the Western BBQ Competition. Grill masters from Cranbury or anywhere else in the state are welcome to test and try out their new skill in the arena against other masters. Winners from this competition will also be eligible for the American Royal and the Jack Daniels World Championship.
The rules of the competition permit 24 hours for competitors to cook their best meal to win the Most Valuable Grill Master Award, and Champion of Pit Boss Rumble. All judges will be members of the Kansas City Barbecue Society. The categories are Pork Ribs, Pork Butts, Beef Brisket, and Chicken.
Those who are not participating in the competition will have lots of fun as well. There will be live entertainment, games, free food tastings, and many more activities. All guests in attendance must first submit a recent negative Covid test, regardless of vaccination status. Information on entry to the competition is available on the Eventbrite website.
