Cranbury puts on honor event

  • 2022-08-31
The town of Cranbury in New Jersey will host a 5K run/walk in honor of a young teenager.

The Helene Cody Cranbury 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run is a family-friendly event that takes place in support of a friendly cause. The event started originally after the passing of Helene Cody, who had originally planned to restore the Cranbury 5K series as an effort to productively use her love for running. Since then, former classmates of hers have tasked themselves with seeing her dream true with the subsequent annual staging of this 5K race today.

Additionally, the funds from the event have found a worthwhile cause, where they are used to assist the community’s youth through developing service programs, as well as through scholarships to fund education. Patrons can look forward to a free water bottle for participating in the event upon registration.

The cost for entry will depend on the track chosen by the participant. The 5K will cost $25, while the 1 Mile Fun Run costs $20. There is also an option to join virtually and support the cause, which is also $20.

Banner printing is useful for highlighting major performers or contributors to the cause at events like this one.

The event takes place a week tomorrow on September 8 at Heritage Park, 59A South Main Street, Cranbury, New Jersey. The first race begins at 8:15 am.
