Summer day camps are on the way in Cranbury.
Cranbury officials have announced that registration is open now for summer camps, but this year will be a little different. For a start, the camps are available to residents of Cranbury only, and to children who will be entering school in September 2021, grades Kindergarten through eight.
There are six one-week camps available, with hours each day from 8:30 am until 3:00 pm. Children can participate in one session, several, or all. Children attending the camps will be placed into four separate groups: Kindergarten and first grade; second and third grade; fourth and fifth grade; and sixth, seventh, and eighth grade. The groups will be kept separate, and each group is limited to a maximum of 12 participants. Groups will be filled as reservations are made, with the first to reserve obtaining the spots.
The township is taking the health situation seriously and requires that all parents read the policy about COVID-19 before they register their children. Among other requirements, they must submit a medical form and a parent COVID waiver. Face coverings will always be required unless campers are at least six feet apart. Brochure printing can be used to create informative pamphlets describing events like this in detail.
The camps begin July 6 and end August 13. Registration fees are $160 per person per week and are not refundable. The exception is the first camp, July 6 to 9, which is $130.
