Board of health schedules meeting and welcomes volunteers

The Cranbury Board of Health is set to host a meeting this October, covering a variety of topics regarding policies and procedures that presently govern public health.

The Board of Health plays a crucial role in maintaining the health, safety, and well-being of residents. It does so by aligning itself with its state statutes, which are to prevent disease and promote good public health through various programs and recommendations. Responsibilities include water supply management, sanitary regulations, housing standards, sanitation control, food safety, and nuisance abatement. In addition to these duties, the Board of Health actively participates in the development, enforcement, review, and recommendation of local health policies and ordinances.

The Cranbury Township Board consists of five members, each serving a three-year term, who are appointed by the Township Committee. Residents interested in contributing to their community's health and safety are encouraged to apply as volunteers to serve on various committees, boards, and commissions.

The event is free to attend for health officials and volunteers. For further information, anyone is welcome to contact the board secretary at (609) 664-3130. Business card printing may be useful in helping health professionals to connect at events such as this one.

This event will take place on Monday, October 2 at the Meeting Room of the Town Hall, which is at 23A North Main Street, Cranbury. It begins at 7:00 pm.
