The 7th annual Blues, Brews and Barbecue festival is taking place this June in Allentown.
This popular event attracts quite a few visitors to the downtown area each year. It not only provides barbecued food and beer, but musical performances by blues artists from all over the country are a big part of the day as well.
There will also be a competition taking place between professional barbecuers in several categories, the entry fee for each of which is $5. Winners will be selected by a jury of six and the top finishers of the two above mentioned categories will receive a plaque.
Currently, organizers are calling for vendors to provide food, beer, arts and crafts, information, and entertainment.
Fees for a 10 x 10 foot space are $30 for non-profit information, $40 for non-profit with sales, $40 for artists and crafters, $50 for a commercial exhibitor, and $75 for selling commercial merchandise. Food vendors pay $150.
It is likely that the vendors will come from all over the area, including nearby Cranbury. Some may decide to invest in postcard printing to let their current customers know about the festival in order to increase their sales.
The Blues, Brews and Barbecue festival is being held in Downtown Allentown on June 14 from 12:00 pm - 10:00 pm. Admission is free. To find out more about becoming a vendor, call 484-542-7827.
