Caldwell runners will be lacing up their sneakers and getting ready for area runs scheduled for April.
The 5th Annual Saint Cassian 5K Run and Kids Fun Run will start things off Saturday, April 4 in Brookdale Park in Bloomfield. Registration will be from 7:00 am until 8:00 am. The Kids Run 1K will begin at 8:30 am and that will be followed at 9:00 am by the 5K run. The fun run course will be a loop around the soccer fields, while the 5K will be three times around the park’s inner loop. Race T-shirt with the event’s graphic design will be given to the first 300 registrants.
Essex County Cherry Blossom 10K Run will take place the next day, Sunday, April 5 beginning at the intersection of Park Avenue and Branch Brook Park Lake Street, Newark. The course will take runners through the budding cherry trees in the park. Long sleeved shirts will be given to the first 500 registrants. Fleece jackets will go to the top 3 finishers in all age categories, overall finishers, women’s masters, and disabled run finishers.
Building Tomorrows 5K Run, Family Walk and Fun Fest will be Saturday April 25 beginning at 9 Cherry Lane in West Orange starting at 8:00 am. The course will be a flat double loop around the lake. Each runner will receive a donut at the finish line. They will also get T-Shirts and free passes to the FunFest.
