An upcoming learning opportunity will show that winter gardens can be places of beauty, and not the bleak and desolate spots people might imagine.
This Caldwell area presentation will explore how to create four seasons of interest through means such as plant choice and installing “hard” landscaping elements. Marc Zukovich, who is a local plant expert, will guide the event, and no advance registration is needed.
During the session, Zukovich will discuss the variety of options available to New Jersey gardeners, and he will explain how some shrubs, trees, and perennials retain their fruit or even bloom during the winter months. He will also review how bark, twig color, and overall tree shape can all add seasonal interest during the colder months. The function will be held at the Livingston Public Library, and is open to anyone.
