The fourth annual Caldwell-West Caldwell Run for Education 5K is scheduled for later in May. All the profits from this event will go to Caldwell West Caldwell Public School District teachers and students.
Preregistration will be $20 for kids and $25 for adults. Registration is on May 16 and Race Day will be $25 for kids from 5 to 17 years old and $30 for adults. Tee shirts with the event Logo Design on the front will be available, but there is a limited amount and shirts are not guaranteed for those who wait to register on race day.
Race packets may be picked up at the Caldwell Community Center, Friday, May 17 from 5:00 until 8:00 am. These packets will contain course information, T-Shirts and Promotional Products, Business Cards and discount coupons from participating sponsors.
Elementary and high school teams are being formed. Teams from elementary schools will include children from Wilson, Washington, Jefferson, and Harrison Elementary schools and the staff from Jefferson. The James Caldwell High School will also have a team as well as Grover Cleveland Middle School.
Race attendees are asked to bring toiletries and non-perishable food items to be donated to the Caldwell Food Pantry.
The 5K Run for Education will take place Saturday, May 18 at James Caldwell High School, 265 Westville Avenue. Start time will be 9:00 am.
