Trinity Academy will be holding its seventh annual Trinity Academy 5K Reindeer Run/Walk in early December. Over 1,000 runners turned out last year, along with their families and friends.
Registration will be $30 until November 27. The first 750 registrants will receive dry weave, long-sleeve T-Shirts replete with the reindeer graphic design. Other amenities include a one-mile clock, one water stop along the course, bagels, and hot coffee. Top overall female and male finishers will receive $250 cash prize. Custom prizes will also be awarded to the top three finishers in each five year age division.
The Jingle Jam will be the holiday festivities before and after the race. Here, families and participants can enjoy shopping at the Vendor Boutique, have their pictures taken with Santa, ride the rides, play games, and make crafts. There will be refreshments, food, and a 50/50 raffle.
Fleet Feet at 603 Bloomfield Avenue in Montclair will be distributing race packets from noon until 7:00 pm on Thursday, December 5, and runners can also pick up their packets at the academy’s gym foyer from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday, December 6, as well as from 8:00 am until 9:15 am on race day.
The Trinity Academy 5K Reindeer Run/Walk is scheduled for Saturday, December 7 at 9:30 am at Trinity Academy, 235 Bloomfield Avenue, Caldwell. The award ceremony will be right after the race at 10:30 am.
