The Scouting program gives kids time to meet friends, learn new skills and have fun while developing leadership abilities, and a Caldwell fundraiser will support a local troop.
Washington Elementary School in West Caldwell will be the venue for an event that offers local gardeners a “Secret weapon” when it comes to filling their containers, flower beds and vegetable gardens. It's being organized by Boy Scouts Troop Number 9, and all shoppers are welcome.
The sale will include flowering and vegetable plants as well as herbs. They will be supplied by Fairfield Farms, and Proven Winners will be in the mix. The annuals and hanging baskets on offer will provide quick color, and it could also be an opportunity to find a gift for Mother's Day. Those who shop early will be able to access the best selection, and it will run from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm, rain or shine.
A plant sale fundraiser can be very successful, especially when it's hosted in spring planting season. Weatherproof signage, plant tags, care tip sheets, price lists and other materials for a market style event can be ordered from area banner printing companies.
The kids in Boy Scouts Troop Number 9 are preparing for their plant sale fundraiser scheduled for May 11th. The proceeds will be used to help fund the group’s high adventure trips and other activities.
