With so many species of feathered friends heading south, November can be an exciting time for Caldwell birders, and a group of local enthusiasts will be visiting Hatfield Swamp to get a closer look.
The site offers an assortment of habitats for tired and hungry birds on their fall migration. The registrant will meet up at Stop & Shop on Bloomfield Avenue in West Caldwell, and they will then carpool to their final destination.
The participants will have an opportunity to view an assortment of species, and warblers, raptors and other fall migrants may all be spotted. The conditions may be wet, and as the location is on the floodplain for the Passaic River, the organizers advise everyone to wear appropriate footwear. Both Audubon Society members and non-members alike are encouraged to take part, and the registration fee starts at $10.
This sort of activity offers fun for both newbie and experienced birders alike. Offering the participants Corporate Gifts such as birding Journals where they can record their observations may help them to get started with the hobby, and Print shops will be able to offer these and other customized Corporate Gifts.
The registrants in this session are asked to gather at Stop & Shop at 8:30 am on November 6. It can be found at 875 Bloomfield Avenue in West Caldwell.
