The 11th annual Montclair Jazz Festival will be coming in early August. This will be two weeks of music in multiple Montclair venues, where over 12,000 jazz fans are expected to attend.
Sundays’ concerts will be held at the DLV Lounge Backyard. These will be free performances by local community bands. On Wednesdays, the Montclair Social Club will have shows from 7:00 pm until 9:30 pm. These will require tickets. On Thursdays, the Montclair Brewery will host jazz performances starting at 7:30 pm.
Fridays and Sundays are reserved for the Jazz Film Series presented by Montclair Film. A Jazz House Kids ensemble will perform at 7:00 pm and screening of classic movies will begin at 7:30 pm. Jazz on Church Street will be free performances from 6:00 until 10:00 pm.
The Cali School of Music will again present Jazz in the Afternoon, from 2:30 pm until 3:30 pm, broadcasted from MSU.
The Grand Finale will again be in Nishuane Park. National and international jazz greats will be performing from noon until 9:00 pm. An After Party will begin at 9:00 pm and go until midnight.
