Sea Turtle Recovery is hosting a fundraiser called ‘The Green Event’, which will have the slogan ‘go green, give green – save the sea turtles’.
A brunch buffet catered by Wilshire Grand Catering will include sausage, pancakes, scrambled eggs, a variety of fruit, sundried tomato pasta, and breakfast potatoes. Dessert will be berry cobbler and ice cream. Pat Karwan will provide the music, and guests are invited to wear green.
There will be a program discussing the Sea Turtle Recovery’s mission and success stories. That will be followed by a silent auction.
In addition to the Green Event, tickets may also be purchased for a Behind the Scenes Tour. These will only be available to those who buy tickets to the Green Event. The tour will last from 20 to 25 minutes and only a limited number of tickets are available. Recipients can choose one of four dates: April 1, 8, 15, and 29.
Sea Turtle Recovery is a nonprofit organization committed to the conservation, preservation, and rehabilitation of sea turtles. It is New Jersey’s first long-term hospital for these reptiles and is part of the Turtle Back Zoo, for which it provides outreach services.
The Sea Turtle Recovery Green Event will be March 18 from 11:30am until 2:00pm at the Wilshire Grand Hotel, West Orange. Jessie Walker provided the graphic design used on the event poster.
