Caldwell families invited to attend resource fair

Families looking into the special needs programming options open to them may want to save the date for a Caldwell area event.

Union County College will be the venue for a resource fair that will give parents and guardians the chance to learn about the various private special education schools in North New Jersey. This will be paired with a funfair, and many local schools, vendors, and other businesses will be taking part.

The 60 or more providers involved will include schools, camps, and recreational programs, as well as service providers, advocacy and family support sources, and financial planners. To keep everyone entertained, there will be strolling balloon artists, as well as face painting stations, door prize draws, and costumed characters. Entry will be free, but those interested have been asked to RSVP in advance. At the time of writing, there were still vendor spots available for booking.

Resource fairs and the community events give the public a chance to connect with local service providers, businesses, and representatives of not-for-profit groups. A brochure printing company will be happy to prepare leaflets and other informational materials to distribute.

The Special Needs Resource Fair and Family Fun Day will be welcoming families on Saturday, May 18. The venue can be found at Richel Student Commons located at 1033 Springfield Avenue in Springfield.
