The 10th Annual Montclair Jazz Festival is coming in late July.
DJ Brother - Mister Old School Fund and Soul – will start things off at the Official Kick-Off Dance Party on Friday, July 26 at 18 Libel Street, starting at 8:00 pm.
DLV Lounge will have Backyard Concerts on Sundays, July 28 with Jazz House Adult Community Big Band from 3:00 pm until 5:30 pm, and August 4 with the Blues Jam Band from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Montclair Social Club will have Wednesday shows at 7:00 pm – Isaiah Thompson Trio and the Emmet Cohen Trio on July 31 and the Ed Palermo Band on August 7.
Jazz at the Montclair Brewer will be on Thursdays starting at 7:30 pm. August 1 will be Matthew Whitaker’s B3 Organ Party, and August 8 will have Julian Lee Gemini and tap dancer Michela Merino. Montclair Film will present a Jazz Film Series on Friday and Sundays. JAZZ House Kids Ensemble will begin at 7:00 pm, with films beginning at 7:30 pm.
Saturday, August 3 will be saved for Jazz on Church Street. Music will ring from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm with Jazz House Kids Alumni All-stars, the Oscar Perez Quintet, and the Candice Reyes Quintet.
The Grand Finale will be Saturday, August 10 from noon until 9:00 pm at Nishuane Park. Artists will include Bettye LaVette, Eddie Palmieri, and Christian McBride.
